What happens if your car needs an MOT test or service during the COVID lockdown? Are MOT Testing stations open and what do motorists need to do?
In the battle against COVID 19 many businesses are closed, however MOT test centres and service centres remain open. These services are classed as essential, but must follow COVID secure guidelines. The government has confirmed that MOTs due to expire during lockdown cannot be extended (a measure that was taken in the first lockdown). Therefore, if you car is due an MOT it is your responsibility to get it tested. If your car is due a service, its best not to put this off as it’s important to follow manufacturer’s guidelines to keep your car running at its optimum. Delaying servicing may also affect a car’s warranty.
At Premier Group we continue to provide MOT testing and have been delighted to be able to assist many key workers from across the Cannock area. All COVID guidelines are being followed for the safety of our team and customers.
For peace of mind of customers please understand that all surfaces are cleaned and that disposable seat covers and gloves are used for each MOT test. Unfortunately the reception waiting area is no longer available as one of the safety measures we have implemented.
Please contact Premier Group on Cannock (01543) 426378 to book an MOT test and / or car servicing for all makes and models.
