MOT rush expected in September: book now to avoid £1,000 fine

Motorists across the UK are being warned to book their MOT as soon as possible to avoid a potential £1000 fine.

A rush for MOT bookings is being predicted for September as millions of vehicle owners delayed their MOT due to the pandemic. An MOT testing exemption was declared last March.

It is estimated that a fifth, 5.5 million drivers, took advantage of the grace period. MOT testing slots are expected to book up quickly and drivers are urged not to leave booking an MOT until the last possible moment. MOT bookings for Cannock drivers can be booked by calling the Premier Group team during open hours on Cannock (01543) 426378 or book MOT online here.

Booking an MOT is often the trigger for many drivers to also book a full service. Around a fifth of motorists (AA research) fail to service their vehicles annually. Regular servicing can prove a cost saving measure in the longer term and can potentially prevent increased, unexpected repair bills. Find out more about car servicing at Premier Group.
